On July 9th, the Buchanan County Health Trust presented the approval of a grant request in the amount of $1500 for an AED and a Portable Emergency Oxygen Kit to the American Legion Post #30 Sheehan-Tidball in order to provide immediate access to a medical device and oxygen until professional assistance can be provided.
“Through the kind generosity of donors, we have been able to provide grant money towards health care related materials and projects within the communities of Buchanan County. We find our organization very fortunate to be able to provide support to these worthy causes,” commented Health Trust President, Susie Bevans.
The Buchanan County Health Trust is a nonprofit organization exclusively for charitable, education, and scientific purposes which benefit or support the medical and health care for persons within Buchanan County, including the making of distributions to the organizations that qualify as exempt organizations. Since its foundation in 1989, the Health Trust has granted over $475,000 to several nonprofit organizations in Buchanan County.
